Before I actually start critiquing, I'd just like to say that I FREAKING LOOOOOOOOOVE THIS!!! :0 Your lineless arts are always so wonderful, I can't believe how smooth you get the lines! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="23" height="15" alt="" title="Wow!"/> It's amazing how bright and colorful this picture is, but not in a way where I'd be like "*sizzling noise* MY EYES!" It's in a "Wow, this really catches your attention! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>" Sort of way. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

I gave you a 4/5 for vision because I really think you did an excellent job on both the color palette and the concept. The picture is simple, but in a wonderful, cartoonish way. Your vision was really brought to life and the gentle smooth lines add to the peacefulness of the picture. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> The only reason I didn't give you a 5/5 was because perhaps some flowers or some bugs in the sky would've given the picture a little more detail, but I honestly think your vision was pretty much close to perfect, my friend. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

I gave you a 4.5/5 on originality because while the style has been done before and so has the hybrid idea, Sludge is just stunning. He's such a wonderful array of colors and patters and anatomy that it makes him very original and pleasing to the eye! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> The fly legs are also very unique, I love how you draw them and without them, it just wouldn't be Sludge. C: The wings are well-executed and the antennae are perfect! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> They add a little playfulness to the picture, and make the character less of a creepy hybrid and definitely more of a cute creature. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l…" width="19" height="19" alt="" title="La la la la"/>

I gave you a 5/5 on technique because honestly, I cannot find one little flaw in this picture. The lineless edges are incredibly smooth and excellently done, bringing a neat sense of pop to Sludge. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> The background may be simple but it's just lovely! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Aww"/> I really enjoy how the background colors of green and blue really help Sludge to stand out. You do lineless so much better than a lot of other artists do. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

I gave you a 4.5/5 on the impact because this was such an amazing piece.
